Visiting Hours

Visiting HoursWe understand that you wish to visit family and friends during their hospital stay; however we kindly ask that you consider the recovery of other patients and only visit between 10am - 8pm. Some wards have rest periods when visitors are not allowed, please check with the patient's Nurse. If you cannot visit during this time, please contact the patient's Nurse to discuss alternatives.

Please note visiting times may vary in wards such as the High Dependency Unit (HDU) and Coronary Care Unit (CCU). If you would like to check visiting hours before you arrive, you are welcome to contact us on 02 9616 8111.

To assist patient recovery, a limit of four visitors per patient at any one time is recommended. The High Dependency Unit, Coronary Care Unit, Acute Postoperative Unit (APU) rooms in Ward 2B and Emergency Department all have a limit of two visitors per patient at any one time. To ensure the safety of patients, visitors and staff, the number of chairs available to accommodate visitors is limited within ward areas.

Children under 12 years of age must be supervised by an adult at all times and we urge all visitors to wash their hands before and after their visit, to reduce the transfer of infections.

All visitors are asked to refrain from entering the hospital if they have flu-like symptoms, are suffering from an active infection or have recently been in contact with someone who has an infection or has been exposed to infection.
