Health Plans

South Western Sydney Local Health District (SWSLHD) has a range of plans to guide service development. Active and recent plans can be obtained on the Publications page. Older plans are available in Archive. Planning is guided by scoping papers which outline the planning and consultation process.

Strategic and Corporate Planning

The SWSLHD Strategic and Healthcare Services Plan sets ten year service development directions for clinical services, facilities and supporting services. The SWSLHD Corporate Plan sets five year strategies for corporate business. A Summary of Strategic Directions outlines the key initiatives of both plans.

These plans ensure services develop in line with the District’s values framework, following its mission and adhering to its principles; to bring about a vision of Leading care, healthier communities.

A Research Strategy outlining actions to build health research in South Western Sydney was released in 2012. An Issues Paper and paper on Potential Research Directions supported this planning.

Integrated planning with primary care providers has been advanced by a plan jointly developed with Sydney South West GP Link, identifying a model of Integrated Primary and Community Care for the new housing developments in the South West Growth Centre of metropolitan Sydney.
